TOWN OF LOMIRA - The driver of a Cook County Sheriff's Department van and the inmate he was transporting were transported to Waupun Memorial Hospital on Tuesday following a one-vehicle accident in Dodge County.

The van was traveling west on Highway 49 near Pole Road at about noon when it left the road, according to logs from the Dodge County Sheriff's Department. The van, driven by corrections officer, Mark J. Morrissey, was transporting the inmate from a jail facility in Illinois to a correctional institution in Waupun.
